Clinton Winters' Jug

Near my hometown a plaquette was unveiled as a remembrance to the crews of both a P-47D and a Halifax crashed in the area during WWII. I got interested in building that particular P-47 to honor the brave men and women who fought for our freedom we can still enjoy today.
Edit: Due to difficulties scaling down the 1/48 decals I have and because I have the 1/48 scale Tamiya P-47D anyway, I'm going for an upscale of this project and go finish it in 1/48 scale.
