Rhubarb over Somerset 1943

This was a test build for a larger project, "Rhubarb over Somerset 1943", which will involve a full scale diorama inspired by a local incident involving a Great Western Railway train and a flight of Spitfire in South West of Britain during WW2.

For this test build, I repurposed a low-level configuration clipped wing 1:72 scale Revell Spitfire Mk.Vc from my collection and added the Church Stanton “RT” Squadron markings. I then acquired a Dapol OO/HO scale GWR Prairie Tank 6100 Class for the locomotive and managed to get hold of a slightly damaged GWR carriage which I repainted in war colours of red brown sides, gold band and black roof.
