B1 ter
French medium battle tank

This is a replica of the B1 ter French medium battle tank, an upgraded version of the B1 bis tank that was built and tested during the late '1930s but never saw any action as focus was kept on the B1 bis tank. Only three of these B1 ter were actually built and all three of them were lost at sea when the ship that was supposed to carry them across the Mediterranean was sunk by Axis naval forces. Over the years, several expeditions were carried out by salvage hunters to find the wreckage of that ship but none of them succeeded.

Note: my model kit was broken when it was delivered to my house - which is to be expected given how far it had to travel - so I did what I could to fix it.
