Gordon Sørensen 作者The nose cone is slightly larger than the fuselage, so had to do a bit of sanding to get it to conform to the fuselage shape. Managed to knock off the pitot on the bottom of the fuselage, but will wait and finish the seam work before scratching a new one.
Got the pink primer. I like Tamiya Fine Primer, it goes on pretty good. Just sprayed it on the outer side of the wingtip tanks. Need to mask and spray the red.

Gordon Sørensen 作者I mounted the lower wing to the fuselage, but figured I would leave the top wing off for ease of painting.
I painted the horizontal stabilizers/elevators with Humbrol Metalcote. Let dry and then masked off the tips for the red.
Painted each wingtip with Humbrol 19 Red. Did three coats to get a nice deep red. Had a bit of bleed under the tape, so cleaned that up. Let it dry for a couple days and them masked the wingtips.
Painted the airframe with Humbrol Metalcote. Had to do a touch-up in a couple areas, so sanded with 4000 Grit and then sprayed another layer. Added the top-wing, and had to do a bit of putty-sand-repeat to get a good fit. Finished painting the entire airframe.
Was all excited to start decalling when I realized that the decals don't fit. They are labelled as 1/72, but seem closer to 1/61… Sent an e-mail to BS Modelle, and they are hopefully sending replacements.
