This girl is done. Learned a few things along the ride. BMF leaves an awful residue that is a dust magnet.
Polishing can make a matt paint gloss.
I love these 50s American battleships.

Excuse my ignorance but why do some strip chrome? Is it cos it's too shiny? How does foil look in comparison?

Damn you got this done quick! LOL Have to step up my game. Great job sir!

Thanks James, exactly the sort of explanation I was hoping for.!
Yes the chrome on anything around or less than 1/25 ish looks far too flashy don't it?
Now to Google Alclad......

It got real busy real quick over here 😄
@Munkyslut - TBH, I used the original chromed parts and added BMF as an extra. Most of the time I strip the chrome as it is too shiny for my taste. In this case the bare plastic was an almost invisible whitish grey and the parts looked okay. The chromed plastic parts can be too thick as well sometimes.
Bob, James, Nathan, Neuling and Chris. Thank you very much. It does stand out in the cabinet 🙂 I will re-use the pink on another car in the future.
@Donald - no engine, 1:32 scale, not too many parts. All this makes for a speedy build. I think I spent the most time in applying the BMF. That was a first for me, and in this scale a bit of a stretch sometimes.

It Looks good! Hard to take photos, isn't it? Now I realize, that it is a Little car - 1/32! Super. Then your truck is also 1/32 in the shelf 😉

Thank you gentlemen. It indeed is a small model. The rest in the stash is 1/24!
