Neuling, I thought long and hard about weathering this bird up a lot, but opted against rain weathering, since it doesn't rain at all in Arizona! The sun bleaching didn't turn out as striking as I would have wanted after the gloss and Matt coating - but there's always the next kit! 😜

CaptGPF Autor@Nathan - though the Tomcat is my fav, I certainly agree with you on the Falcon/Viper - it's definitely a comfort food when you want to get a good satisfying build that looks great with "minimal" effort. 😀
@DuperScale - it's funny how relative expensive is these days - when you see kits zooming past the $100 mark!

Mr JamesThats some good info on the kit being a bit old and lacking detail. You've done a lovely job of it and I agree with Neuling on the shading.

CaptGPFAnyone know of a reputable 3rd party 3D printing service? I’d like to get a 3D file of this cgtrader.com/3d-prin..85-86e6-0794eff49f6e printed so I can try my hand at figures.
I’m still on the fence with 3D printing, as I certainly don’t have the volume to justify getting one.

gorbySorry the link I posted is just for the 3D file. There are plenty of other fully printed models available although as Michael says, check the delivery costs before you order anything.

Neither - nor. I don't print (yet). The information from people who do discouraged me (so far). I will have to learn 3D design from scratch and printing itself requires quite a bit of experience and handon time. Much more than I am willing to invest right now.
