This was a relatively easy build that took less than a week - the base/rails took longer to create. As always with my models, I build/paint/decal how I want and am not that bothered about historical accuracy. These models are very simple and would be great for a younger/novice modeller. Good, quick and enjoyable fun.

Where Eagles Dare is my all-time favourite film, so I had to make a dio. However, this ended up being a bit of an epic as I initially cocked-up the weathering of the Junkers and then struggled to find somewhere with sufficient room to display it - hence the airfield scene is most definitely a bit of a compromise. I was very happy how the bus came out given it was originally a die cast model. Just glad it's finished so I can get on with other projects.

Thanks all - Finally got round to adding more pictures and despite it's size, this was a relatively easy dio to put together. I wanted to experiment with making river ice and pine trees so the ones used in the dio followed many failed attempts. My favourite part of are the trenches in the 'forrest'. My most expensive dio to date!
