I found that before laying down metal paint, spraying the surface with 3 layers of GX 100, and sanding it up to 12,000 between layers then buffing it to a high gloss really makes a very good surface for a mirror finish. Xtreme metal chrome seemed to work the best for me.

I built the Revell/Zvezda 1:72 Yak-3
Enjoyed that build and the history around it.
I would like to do the Eduard La- in the future, but l got Mi-8 Zvezda to do next as part of battle for Chernobyl diorama.
