Primer on and the seams have had a rub down. There was a bit of a gap under the canopy so that's has some filler and clean up. Running a fingernail along the area feels smooth so now I think I'll buy myself a razor saw and take a punt at rescribing the missing panel lines

Just ordered some "chromate yellow" for the wheel wells and when that turns up it'll be time to get some colour on the kit.

Next up is priming the engines to see how bad my fit and filling of the 3 part cowling was.

D'oh. Just realised that the nose piece didn't go on at the correct angle. So now to decide if I saw it off and reattach or not? For my skill level this will be a high risk manoeuvre but now I've noticed the mistake I think it will bug me forever if I don't try and fix it.

So this has been a challenge for me. It's an older kit with raised panel lines and being new to kit building I wasn't as careful as I might have been getting all the panels lined up. Getting the nose to sit took loading up the nose and engines with.a mixture of green stuff and fishing weights. So much that the nose doesn't fit snug anymore and left me a self inflicted gap. Oops.

Lots of wonky joints, filler, trimming and sanding. Still plenty of work to do all over.

The plan is to do some more work on the cockpit area then prime the engines, nose and joins to see how bad it all looks.

So far so good. Next up is to paint the canopy with Tamiya cockpit green and then prime the whole thing.
