A very ancient set, a rarity. It turned out well, but the rear parts of the wing are very thick. Another tip: it is better to paint over the edges of transparent parts with a black marker, then they will not be visible.

Denis - true the rear of the wings are thick, I just didn't want to do extra work on putting details back in. Regardless, your suggestion to use the black marker is a good idea; I'll have to try that. Thanks.

This is a great kit. This one is the late version which has a different rudder assembly from the early version.

the LOK was normaly painted black or anthasit...and the wind deflectors, are only after the war

Dietmar - thank you for your input. While don't disagree that many of the BR locomotives were black, some did get camo.

Even HobbyBoss provided an option for a camo pattern, which I've seen on several other completed kits; I chose to go another way, similar to another finished model I found on Pinterest. I'll post HobbyBoss's suggestions in my album for your and others reference.

Aren't we all lucky that, as hobbyists, we don't have to make our kit historically accurate. We are free to choose what we'd like to see, what might have happened in the field, like options aircraft maintenance crews for their respective plans.

As such, I guessed that my locomotive maintenance crew in the field was creative and painted their loco as I depicted.
