I am currently building five P-40 Warhawks at the same time. This fighter is my absolute favourite aircraft and it was therefore time to dedicate a little more time to it. The first model in this series is a P-40E. It is based on the kit from Hasegawa and is supposed to represent a machine of the American 49th Fighter Group, which was flown by Lt. Andrew Reynolds during the defence of Darwin in 1942.

Thanks Daniel 😀
Over the last few weeks I have been busy riveting the wings and fuselage. Now the last details are in place and the model is almost ready for painting. The elevators are from CMK.

I'm in, love the P-40. I have always thought it is one of the most underrated fighters of WWII. Nice cockpit details, can't wait to see the finished kit.

What a great collection of P-40 builds. Gorgeous airplanes so I can see why they're your favorite!

Thank you Roland 😀 The weathering of the Warhawks, here on the P-40E, is now largely complete.

Done, my five model Warhawk series was finally finished a few days ago. Here first the P-40E from Hasegawa in the markings of the 49th Fighter Group from the time of the defence of Darwin in 1942.
