You can use the glitter. You just need to build up the coats of clear to bury it, which will smooth out the surface.. We all experiment.

I was thinking how this would work out after sanding
I thought if I sand it it would probably ruin it
Thanks for the info

I tried the same thing using a hardware store glitter paint, Rustoleum or Krylon and I didn't like the surface roughness, so I stripped it and it went on to being Merc #2. Sometimes ideas work sometimes they don't. We have all been there. A lot of guys throw the body away, but I am too cheap to do that. That's why I usually have a gallon of Super Clean sitting around, because I am bound to screw something up.😎😎😎😎😎🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

The things I have done sofare have all been a bit of a flop
I don't see it as a bad thing and have keept all the kits I have messed up lol
I wanted to see what I could still do whed them
In worst case
Thay can be used for crusty builds
Also I thing I like very much
So probably not going to try to save them as such
I also got a few of the kits I did use to learn on
Yes I did do some horrendous work to a mustang kit in the past
I don't think that can be saved to be a shiny model anyway
But sure it can be a butiful wreck
I don't think thay are wasted
Except for a mercedes I tried to fix whed a lighter 🙃

The lighter🔥may have been a little extreme, but it is all a learning curve.😎

If you are building a wreck, you can use the lighter or just heat to warp panels.

Howdy lads. Just to add, I've tried a lighter, and the heat from a soldering iron, however, I found a heat gun, and gentle movement around the area, from a distance of around 12", worked best. You definitely need to keep moving the gun around, and it was a slow process, but I put a sufficient enough dent in the model, to make it look real enough. Naked flame, can go wrong, very quickly. I found that it also curled the plastic, at the edges? I'm sure that there's YouTube videos on this subject, but I just thought I'd share my own experiences.

Heat gun too close and too hot can too. I tried to take a tweak out of a hood and turned it into the shape of a potato chip.

😆 yes I guess all have given things that were not successful a good at some point
