Whose everyone's favourite kit maker. Would love to get your views! 🙂

I like hawk kits because they have a low parts count, inaccurate detailing, and parts that don't fit. They are only available used and I especially like the plated kits that glue doesn't stick to.

I have a question to ask you model folk. I am currently bringing elements together for a diorama of a German airfield - WW2 of course and I have very little guide as to the colour of the internal parts of a Flak 36, might do it as a flak 18 but I haven't decided. What colour do I need to paint the majority of parts of the artillery piece. I would love your best ideas. Many thanks.

If you see my collections. You'll notice my first ever photo. There will be more, it is simply a small photo but it's a photo that sits toe to toe between my models and my Father's! Just a gentle reminder that he is still there with me in spirit.

Everyone, it is me. I have been feeling very embarrassed that I haven't shared in a while. I haven't been feeling myself physically and at times struggling on a day to day basis with my mental strength. Harsh sleeping and pain physically in my body has really done me in.
However I am pleased to say but I have now got a phone which I had been meaning to get for sometime. I only use it for listening to music, audible books, doing hobby creation and watching videos on YouTube. I have the opportunity to send you some very special photos. I am to do so later this week.
Thank you as always for encouraging me when commenting, I really love hearing your feedback and that is what it is all about. One big family right? All across the globe!

I have a question to ask everyone, if you had a model that you would want to make which was taken from a film, what would it be? When I get the opportunity I would love to genuinely build one day a 1/24 scale Spitfire which I could reflect from the 1969 'Battle of Britain' film. Spitfire for me has always been one of the most beautiful aircraft I have ever seen, I know that will take time and effort but when the time comes I will do that!

Alfa always leave me feeling rather spirited, then again, wasn't it someone wise said - 'you cannot be a true petrolhead until you have owned 1! It is such a beautiful car, plus I have never seen that film, is it good?

Plus Dustin Hoffman is one of my favourite actors, Master Shifu spirit is alive and well!

I have in need of someone's help. When you either fill or file down a part of your model, is there a way in which you recover the detail on the model, for instance when you are doing the wings and parts of the body and you want to have that part of the construction showing or is it a hit and miss situation when you file down a piece of the model? I don't know the best way to word it.

What Ben said- use tape to minimize erasure from sanding - can leave you good starting points for restoring lines where you have to sand down filler, putty, gaps, etc.

Might I ask, why do people do modelling, is there a particular story behind it, is it something which you found through history or other videos of people making models, why is modelling special to you!

What is to everyone's opinion more popular when it comes to modelling - Dioramas or individual models?

You might surprise yourself. I also originally chose 1/48 because I didn't think my hands could manage anything smaller – mainly because I have very little feeling in my fingertips. With practice I can now work on very small parts.

I am not giving up the idea of doing 1/72's in future it is just for me, I have plenty of kits to keep myself amused for. I guess I doubt myself alot of the time in my ability. Been a problem at a very recent time. But modelling gives me confidence each time I make one. I don't just like doing it, I adore it

Considering that I honestly believe that for me Tamiya produce some of the most well engineered kits especially for someone like me who at times struggles with complex instruction manuals since I didn't always do well with large pockets of information all in one go. For someone like me who started kits back last year, it is somewhat now a healthy obsession which gives me alot to focus on especially when at the moment my life is rather stop, start and go.
I made this kit several months ago, I know without evidence of my build I can't make you see the truth in my words but I will produce images when I actually get round to producing pictures of it.
My pieces aren't going to turn heads, all I hope is that you enjoy the pieces that I finish, weathering and effects are something that over time I will muster, majority of my builds I hand paint, sometimes going over with more then 1 layer.
I love our NHS and to make a model with quite huge significance considering I was making an ambulance it just was inevitable that I was going to pick up this kit. Tamiya really do give you a great start-up to get back into modelling. I love their detail, their ease of use of their instructions, the little extras at times that accompany the kits - whether you get an extra figure to build. I JUST LOVE THEM!
People all around us are given rather obsessive and expensive forms of hobbying Expensive gaming computers, consoles, mobile phones and so on. What really is better about those items than crafting something with your own hands and your own skill!

Trust me Martin, if there is one thing that I will never quit, its Model making. Why? Because it has got my Fathers spirit inside of me which he passed to me at a time when he needed it. Modelling is more then just a hobby for me, it is a therapy and it sure as hell is becoming more and more real!
1 26 January, 19:23

Plus Martin, I will give you plenty of notice when I am looking at a certain kit, although considering I have well over 50 plus kits which came from my Father along with all of his modelling tools and extras I have got plenty to keep myself going for quite some time!

Thank you so much, there is no other place I would rather be then a model community! Considering I am not exactly great when it comes to making small talk but I guess when it comes to model and crafts, it doesn't really matter, ha
