I really dont mean to sound political in support of either side, but that box-art is in pretty bad taste I think..

Not their first "controversial" box art: ZTZ99A (Border Model BT-022, 1:35)
Wouldn't surprise me if it was deliberate to get attention!

@Mike Bird agreed. This together with their shady practices around ships now (releasing the same ships as VeryFire, teasing Shinano to corner other makers but not actually releasing it), and the drama about some tank a couple years back has left me quite sour about their choices, and a shame too because their kits are very nicely tooled.

I really really hope this isnt just an up-scale of their 1/72 kit like they did with Su57 and Mi-24. If its a new tooling on par with Su-25 and the Ka-52, this will be a great snag for the medium-level modeller who doesnt want to spend the over 120 eur price tag of the GWH kit.

Well this came out of left field!
They had long since promised a Dido class.
Hope it doesnt actually stay as a "to be released soon" like their Baltimore.

I am glad I got this kit, not much bigger than a destroyer I guess, however I have a new idea for custom railings that I will try out with this kit, replacing the photo etch with styrene rods and basic thin thread, and so if it works ok, it solves a problem I had with some other much larger kit my work stalled on, having made things too difficult for myself.

In 1/700 no styrene rods scale up for stanchions. I do have some models where I cut insect screening meshes to railing.

Btw, one new feature of this ship kit, seems to be molded ribs under the two big deck pieces, which is nice as it helps prevent the deck from bending/twisting. I don't think I've seen that in other kits anytime before until now.

This was unexpected. I wonder how will it compare to the VeryFire one which is just 150 eur, since Trumpeter's Iowa by itself is already 170.
