Michael KohlYou can cover the sides with simple sheet. Veneer is an option too. More elegant would be wood profiles cut at 45 degree angles and added as a frame. But I am afraid that whatever technique you choose, the challenge will be a small gap between cover/frame and base. This is easily closed with almost any kind of stuff as long as the base is under construction. Now with the base already painted nicely it may not be that easy.
But maybe it motivates you for a go at the next project. The skills are definitely there. 🙂

Actually in the Eduard kit you get all the PH parts, all the seatbelts and some more, so I just used that.
