With a bit of luck I had today some light between the rain showers so now I can show some outdoor shots.
Before anyone asks: These are not new reference images, but photos of the model 🙂
3 December 2024, 13:58

Yeah, photos of the model... These are reference photos for sure! 😉 Like I've said: BEAUTIFUL!

Well that brightens a dull day. Stunning build as always and the photographs make it look like it's the real deal. The metal rigging was very successful.

if mine turns to be a quarter as good as this one, I will be over the moon, what a fantastic result!

Absolutely extraordinary work! What a great photos! Truly a feast for the eyes and a great inspiration! Congratulations Bughunter!

It's flying. It is really flying! See the last pic.
Bild 1 : Wie das Licht auf dem schmalen Band des Rumpfes schimmert sieht fantastisch aus.

Thank you very much for your wonderful comments mates!
Now its dark so I made also some pictures in a light tent. Feel free top ask if you want to see a special detail or viewing angle.
And in case you have have not seen it yet: there is a big album of the build attached to the project.

I mean, what is there to say. Just superb! The metal rigging looks intriguing, may have to try it.

Fantastic model in perfect photos! I really like the photos with the spinning propeller (no. 14 and 15) Especially the photo of the machine in flight looks very impressive.

Frank, what can I say? Another beauty to add to your collection!! Up to your usual high standards of detailing and rigging and paint work, my friend. I always greatly enjoy your outdoor shots too. Lovely.

Just amazing! It really looks like the real machine. The level of added details is almost unbelievable 👍

Thank you very much for your fantastic feedback! If you can confuse the model with the real airplane, I have achieved my goal 🙂
The very slight weathering is barely visible in the pictures. I assumed that these school machines were well maintained.
I must also thank Revell for this wonderful (and underrated) kit! Only this crazy yellow plastic ...
@Alec The metal rigging is a special thing. A lot of effort to get it looking right and I think it will be still to big on a WWI biplane. The size would match for 1:32 (Wingnut Wing says in the instruction to use 0.3 x 0.1mm wires for the RAF wires), but the etched wires will be to short for 1:32. The hole must be in the right angle and the wire need a free movement on one side to avoid problems with thermal changes.

Thanks for the info 👍. I saw a modeler using it in 1:144, not really sure what dark magic they used 😄

It's getting boring Bugsy. But this is another marvellous, ingenious, fantastic, gorgeous, incredible build. Just as with Lode, I'm running out of words. Can we just call it a Frank build?
5 December 2024, 07:16

Yes! FB for short. And it will mean something other than, you know, FB…
5 December 2024, 20:58

another beauty from the master! Your builds leave us all speechless
6 December 2024, 19:18

It makes me happy to read your wonderful comments!
Martin, you're running out of words because you've already used so many adjectives. I need a dictionary 😎
10 December 2024, 17:54

Amazing work there!!! Glad I got to see this one in the final gallery!
1 16 December 2024, 21:19

Thank you very much! Every comment makes me happy.
I'm sure some people think these are the reference pictures and the model is yet to come ...
1 17 December 2024, 17:33

No doubt about that Frank!! If I ever build a subject that you've built, I'm certainly going to use your final glamour photos as reference!!
18 December 2024, 11:49

It's fantastic, the metal rigging really does add to the whole look.
1 19 December 2024, 08:40

Today I had a Wingman beer in my advent calendar. Take a look at the colors! If that's not a suitable drink for this project ...

Yeah mates!
Kyle, I like the angry look, the many details like the foot on the collar - that's why I uploaded the picture.
1 20 December 2024, 23:15

okay *wow*, love the plane. The rigging looks intimidating, but you did a lovely job.
23 December 2024, 21:20

Back from a family visit on Christmas I found your kind comments - thank you very much and a happy new year!
